Isak - Joy, Hope and Promise

Isak is a floor lamp that brings together warm natural materials, minimalist design, and a calming, ambient light. Inspired by traditional wooden candleholders, Isak translates this heritage into a sculptural, contemporary form—where history and modernity meet in quiet harmony.

Designed by German designer Lukas Heintschel, Isak reflects the core of Scandinavian design tradition: simplicity, functionality, and emotional connection. Its solid wood base and clean silhouette create a grounding presence, while the soft light it casts brings warmth and serenity to the room.

The name Isak holds personal meaning. It comes from my father's second name—a quiet tribute to the generations before us, who shaped our values and sense of beauty. But the meaning runs even deeper: rooted in Hebrew, Isak means “he laughs”—a name tied to joy, hope, and promise.

This adds a quiet layer of meaning to the lamp itself.
